Lonely Island
An environment story told through a moving camera.
The camera approaches from behind the island, travels up the mountain and dives towards a stream. A stretching screen effect helps give the descent a roller-coaster feeling. The journey ends with a character at a broken bridge who turns towards the camera and waves.
Motion as storytelling
The sequence moves from exploring a landscape to meeting its inhabitant. Camera direction creates that change of focus, while wind and ocean ambience keep the setting present throughout the short film.
